Alright...so in preparing my message for Sunday I was going to use a quote that I had either heard "somewhere" or that I had made up brilliantly sometime on my own. The quote goes something like..."90% of life is just showing up." So, to give credit where credit is due I googled it and sure enough, I had not brilliantly made it up. It's Woody Allen. And I'm not sure whether it's 90%, 95% or 80% as all of these are in perpetuity on the world wide interweb. Anecdotally, 80% is the most likely candidate as it's frequency is higher than the rest. I have yet to track down exactly where Woody Allen was originally quoted as such but I'm going to let that go.
All that is to say, when you have a child showing up becomes increasingly difficult and I suspect it gets increasingly and exponentially more difficult as children are subsequently added.
I guess the challenge still stands...show up.
