Obama's Wailing Wall Prayer

“Lord - Protect my family and me.
Forgive me my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair.
Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just.
And make me an instrument of your will.”

This is quite moving but then I wonder how it got "out there." Did someone run up behind him and snag it from the wall? That ain't right. It's his business with God. And then the skeptic in me wonders if one of his people snagged and put it out there because they want their guy to win. In any case, I appreciate the peak into Obama's spiritual life but feel like a bit of a voyeur reading it.

Big Boats

So...our family's cottage @ Harsen's Island is probably my favorite and most naturally beautiful place on earth that I've been to.

There are quite a few features that make it particularly unique one of which is the fact that Great Lakes freighters & ocean liners pass in front. Having grown up w/ these beasts we were schooled in the beauty of them though they are dirty masses of steel and equipment. In any case...I have a tremendous appreciation for beauties like these.
