Upon further reflection...
After returning from our week+ of traveling we watched the American Idol we had DVRd (or is it Tivo'd even though we don't have Tivo brand? Is this a Band-aid or Kleenex sort of situation?)
Anyway...after watching one of our favorite contestants, David Cook, do Chris Cornell's version of Billy Jean it got me to wondering why Michael Jackson felt the need to be so defensive and claim that the "kid is not my son."
Uh...Michael...when you did have a kid people questioned whether you had it in you to "be the one" so to be honest...no one really thought you were the one to impregnate Billy Jean and there's no danger in thinking that the kid IS your son. So relax and hop in your hyperbarometericonical chamber with Bobo the chimp and the Elephant man's bones or whatever and sleep tight.
Things You Never Imagined Saying

blog coup d'e todd
well, there is a new blog in town you ferrys!
yeah, i have decided to go solo, suckas!
ummm...well, maybe i will do more of a side-project. i can't tell whether i am more of a beyonce or a michelle and i would hate to be the latter. i don't know if you know this but the other supremes haven't done as well post-break-up as diana.
anywho, i have made a wedding blog because i am just that lame.
lazy, actually. word on etiquette street is that a couple should have a website these days for easy access to information. that just reeked of effort so a blog it is. if you are wondering about stuff it may just be on there.
check it out: http://toddandsabrina.blogspot.com/
...if i end up killing myself soon, you need not look for a note - allow my contribution to 2 blogs and a myspace page to be a sufficient explanation for self-loathing.

This is pretty good
This really is pretty uncanny...
You're Prufrock and Other Observations!
by T.S. Eliot
Though you are very short and often overshadowed, your voice is poetic and lyrical. Dark and brooding, you see the world as a hopeless effort of people trying to impress other people. Though you make reference to almost everything, you've really heard enough about Michelangelo. You measure out your life with coffee spoons.
Aside from the whole "poetic and lyrical" thing, that's pretty much me.

One might describe today as maundy...
Discardia
Why not celebrate Discardia by cleaning out or decluttering some aspect of your life — your closet, your car, your garage — by recycling stuff, tossing stuff, or simply giving stuff away? Start with whatever you have too many of. Books? DVDs? Shoes?
Fight materialism. Welcome to the season of Discardia. (Read more about it here.)

this book kills fascists
okay. woody guthrie's autobiography, bound for glory.
i have no idea why it has taken me so many years to get around to reading it.
this is truly one of the greatest books i have ever read. already in my top 5.
certainly it is my favorite biography - auto, manual , or otherwise.
bump it up to next on your reading list. trust me.
so, so good. absurdly good. really, it is perfect.
Watch this and try not to tear up...
I just wish his mouth matched the words.

What book are you?
You're Watership Down!
by Richard Adams
Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you'reactually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink theirassumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'dbe recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.
Ironically...I started reading this book last summer and never got past page 10. Looks like I need to revisit it.
I've been waiting my whole life...
If you don't laugh out loud, check your pulse.

I saw a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac
I thought...WWMMD? What would Marilyn Manson do? Probably not go to Starbucks. Which got me thinking...maybe he would. I mean, let's be honest, his whole deal is shock. I bet he wears Levi's and plain old t-shirts and maybe even gets a Sunday morning cup of coffee @ the 'buck.
So Mr. (or Mrs.?) Manson, can you help me out? How do YOU feel about Starbucks? Do you condone Mr. Pontiac's Starbucks drinking habits or is that too normal for you?

the last threads!
okay...which one of you has 'em?
i am missing my 2 favorite shirts -
1) brown button-up threadbare with hole on bottom front in hobo-spirit
2) button-up with white and blue stripes threadbare in hobo-now-but-used-to-have-a-job spirit
you will find pictures of them above.
i feel empty. all i have now are threadful shirts that i haven't worn hundreds of times.
how am i ever gonna be a cartoon if i can't wear the same one or two shirts every single day?
*this accusation is official and has been approved by me.

A couple videos...
(HT: Josh)
Seth Godin is one of my favorite thinker guys & I love (and am slightly creeped out by) the Will it Blend videos. Combine the two...ultimate oddity. Am I the only one who thinks Seth looks TOO bald? It looks like a fake Hollywood makeup dome. Anyway...

We had the students bake. Hilarity ensued. Meka dug on some ice cream cone cupcakes.
