I Heart the Simpsons
From a recent Simpsons Episode:
BART: "Alright, these are swear words we can use because they're in the Bible."
MILHOUSE: "I don't think Leviticus is a swear word."
BART: "Shut the hell up you damned ass whore."

PTMD : : Post Traumatic Midterm Disorder
Just finished my Church History midterm. I got at least a D+. That's not a grade they like to give out, you know.
I love taking classes. The work, the papers, the reading, all okay but it does take time and effort. And taking tests sucks but there is NOTHING like the buzz of the feeling AFTER taking a test. Regardless of how well you do it's a fantastic feeling to not have it looming over your head anymore. Even if tomorrow you have to go back to work and have stuff their looming over your head and even if you have to read another book and write another paper for Monday, TONIGHT the test is over.
Cheers!

if it wasn't clear that sabrina and i are crazy rabbit people...
trapper john was sick and we were really worried about her.
she is better!
so, here is a celebration of the weekend with trapper john.
yes, we are a little out of our minds.
if there was any doubt who runs the place..
i built an extension onto trapper land into the cabinet. it is a pretty nice thing to find when you are just looking for a jar of pickles.
we have actually trained her to sit there like that in order to get a television signal.
...you'll give a damn about my rabbit because i said so!

The Dusty Reds Show
With all of the fan-generated controversy over the Reds new manager, I wanted to add this little bit. I, for one, am incredibly happy over this decision. Dusty Baker is a baseball man. He loves the game and understands it. He played it and played it well. He has managed the game with success, with players from the Griffeys and Dunns to the Edwins. And if there are any two pitchers in the majors who can handle the dreaded heavy workload, its Arroyo and Harang. Most importantly, I trust Dusty Baker to make the tough personnel decisions. To give Joey Votto and Jay Bruce everyday roles; to give Johnny Cueto a shot in Spring Training; to let players like Jeff Keppinger and Jorge Cantu play their way into the lineup if they earn it. In short, to make those decisions about which we fans think we know better and to make them better than we could.
Kudos to the Reds' management for making a great baseball decision.

Do you ever wonder?
Do you ever wonder if you are the only person on earth doing a particular thing or combination of things?
For instance...
Reading Celebration of Discipline by Richard Foster for a paper due Thursday at your desk in your office listening to Kissing the Lipless by the Shins while waiting to go to a funeral in half an hour?

Maneater
I'm sure the Weakerthans album is sweet, sweety, sweetness but Hall & Oates' Maneater just popped on the iPod. Wicked good.
I feel like I'm playing bumper pool in Tommy Fennell's basement or playing Barnstormer on the Atari listening to this stellar duo's 45 and waiting for Michael Jackson's new video Thriller to come on MTV.
Ahh 1983...where have you gone?
